Homemade Laundry Soap

I stole this off a friends site, but thought it was worthy to share... THANKS JAMIE!
A LONG time friend of Trevor's loves to save money, so I thought it was worth sharing...She says that the best part about this, is that it costs .03 cents per load! That is just so awesome! So here is the recipe:

Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent
6 cups water
1/3 bar Fels Naptha Soap, grated
1/2 cup Washing Soda ( not baking soda)
1/2 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
2 Gallon Bucket to mix it in
4 Cups Hot water
Mix Fels Naptha Soap in saucepan with 6 cups HOT water and heat on low until dissolved. Stir in washing soda and borax. Stir until thickened and remove from heat. Add 4 cups HOT water to 2 gallon bucket. Add soap mixture and mix well. Fill the bucket completely with additional HOT water and mix well. Set aside for 24 hours. You may add additional HOT water if mixture becomes too thick. Mix Well before each use and add a couple marbles to the jug to keep it mixed. Use 1/2 cup per load. Makes 64 loads.
This recipe will not make suds in your washer. The soap is a pure soap and typically makes no suds. My soap got super thick so I added about 2 cups of extra water and now its great. I bought a rubbermaid jug to keep it in. There is a 2 gallon one that it fits perfectly in.

Happy Washing!!!!!!!!
